Dispersive™ VN provides
disaster recovery capability
while moving big data
The high cost of data loss
Companies that host web applications in the public cloud face special challenges. Inadequate IT resources, budget limitations and limited ability to prevent software bugs can adversely affect service availability. Billions of dollars can ride on a company’s disaster recovery capabilities.
This was a concern of a major computer consulting and service hosting company. Its virtual private network (VPN) could not push client data to its cloud fast enough. To remedy this throughput issue, the company approached SDY Technologies.
Our network tops VPN in big-data transfers
A proof-of-concept test was set up to see how a Dispersive™ Virtualized Network (Dispersive™ VN) handled big data. The company's chief technical officer (CTO) used a
VPN over a MiFi device to connect to various cameras around his home. This required multiple transfers of large amounts of data. The quality of the live stream video was low.
The CTO then made this same connection using a Dispersive™ VN. Our network significantly improved the quality of the streaming video.
Another test was conducted. The company wanted to know if our network could handle transferring data throughout the day without bogging down the normal traffic. It proved up to the task.
Good news for data centers
Disaster recovery is critical for data centers. It’s even more critical for big data infrastructures. The throughput speed and resiliency of our Dispersive™ VN improves
the efficiency of disaster recovery.
